About the role

This role requires a hands-on commercial leader who can open doors with developers, general contractors, architects, project owners, and construction stakeholders, while also coordinating closely with internal technical and factory teams to move projects from opportunity to execution.

This role offers a target total annual compensation package of up to $200,000, structured as:

  • $100,000 base salary
  • Up to $100,000 annual performance bonus

The performance bonus will be tied to agreed business development and commercial milestones, which may include:

  • Signed project contract value
  • Number of bathroom pods contracted
  • Qualified pipeline value
  • New strategic customer wins
  • Revenue generated from U.S. projects
  • Successful entry into target segments such as multifamily, affordable housing, hospitality, and remodeling
  • Project advancement through key milestones such as signed LOI, signed contract, deposit/payment received, production start, or delivery readiness

The bonus plan is designed to reward both near-term market development progress and closed revenue outcomes, recognizing that construction sales cycles may involve extended project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Own U.S. business development and sales performance, including pipeline creation, deal conversion, and achievement of annual revenue and project targets for modular bathroom pod solutions.
  • Develop and execute the U.S. go-to-market strategy, including target segments, geographic priorities, channel development, pricing input, project positioning, and competitive market analysis.
  • Identify, develop, and close new project opportunities with developers, general contractors, construction groups, affordable housing operators, multifamily builders, hospitality developers, and renovation/remodeling project owners.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders, including developers, GCs, architects, consultants, code specialists, procurement decision-makers, and project owners.
  • Drive measurable commercial outcomes, including signed project agreements, qualified pipeline value, pod-volume commitments, strategic customer wins, and repeat-business opportunities.
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into executable solutions, including technical specifications, building code requirements, project schedules, site conditions, procurement needs, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated, technically feasible, properly priced, and ready for execution.
  • Maintain strong familiarity with U.S. construction laws, building codes, permitting workflows, inspection processes, and local operating standards, especially in California.
  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, client meetings, and on-site negotiations across major U.S. markets to support project development and execution readiness.
  • Leverage and expand industry networks and resources to strengthen market presence, accelerate deal flow, and enhance Sally Pods USA’s brand reputation in the U.S. construction industry.
  • Support cross-border coordination with global R&D, factory, technical, and executive teams through periodic international business travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in the U.S. construction industry, with strong preference for experience in modular construction, prefabricated building systems, bathroom systems, multifamily residential projects, affordable housing, hospitality, or renovation/remodeling.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. construction practices, including regulations, housing codes, permitting workflows, inspection processes, construction operations, and project delivery procedures.
  • California construction expertise, including strong knowledge of local codes, permitting, inspections, contractor licensing requirements, and compliance. Active California contractor license, such as Class B General Building Contractor license, is strongly preferred.
  • Established network with developers, general contractors, architects, project owners, affordable housing stakeholders, multifamily builders, and other construction decision-makers across the U.S.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex construction sales cycles and convert opportunities into signed projects.
  • Professional background may include business development, sales, construction project management, engineering, general contracting, construction operations, or real estate development.
  • Fluent English communication skills, including business negotiation, technical discussion, client presentations, contract review, and written project documentation.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the United States for business development, client meetings, site visits, inspections, and project coordination.
  • Ability to support short-term international travel for factory visits, technical coordination, executive project reviews, and internal alignment.
